Through the hidden waterways of Venice
The gondola station, known in Venetian dialect as a stazio, is a traditional landing place where gondolas and gondoliers await their passengers. The tour begins at Bacino Orseolo, just a few steps from St Mark’s Square.
From here, the gondola glides through picturesque minor canals, including Rio dei Barcaroli, where Mozart’s former residence can be seen, and Rio dell’Ovo, before reaching the Grand Canal.
Along the way, admire the magnificent Rialto Bridge and prestigious historic buildings such as Ca’ Farsetti, Venice City Hall, and Palazzo Grimani, now home to the Court of Appeal.
The journey continues along Rio San Luca, passing Palazzo Manin, the former residence of Ludovico Manin, the last Doge of Venice.
