DAY 1 – ROME TO ORVIETO
Departure from Rome by private vehicle towards Umbria.
During the journey, the landscape gradually changes, revealing the region’s green hills and characteristic countryside.
ORVIETO
One of Italy’s most beautiful medieval towns, famous for its narrow streets, elegant squares and spectacular views.
The itinerary may include the magnificent Orvieto Cathedral, Palazzo del Popolo, St Patrick’s Well and the ancient underground city of Orvieto.
At the end of the visit, free time to explore the historic centre and the possibility of arranging dinner in a traditional restaurant.
Overnight stay in a selected hotel.
DAY 2 – PERUGIA, ASSISI & FOLIGNO
Departure for Perugia, Umbria’s elegant regional capital.
PERUGIA
Walk through the historic centre and discover the Fontana Maggiore, the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, Palazzo dei Priori and the ancient Arco Etrusco.
Free time for shopping, a coffee or a walk along Corso Vannucci.
ASSISI
Continue towards Santa Maria degli Angeli, with the possibility of visiting the Porziuncola.
Arrival in Assisi, one of the world’s most important spiritual destinations.
Visit the Basilica of Saint Francis, admire Giotto’s frescoes and walk through the town’s atmospheric medieval streets.
In the late afternoon, continue to Foligno.
Overnight stay in a traditional property.
DAY 3 – SPOLETO, MONTEFALCO, BEVAGNA & SPELLO
A day dedicated to some of Umbria’s most fascinating historic towns.
SPOLETO
Discover the historic centre, the Cathedral and the impressive Ponte delle Torri, one of the city’s most iconic landmarks.
Free time to walk through the medieval streets and enjoy the elegant atmosphere of Spoleto.
MONTEFALCO
Continue to Montefalco, known as the “Balcony of Umbria” for its extraordinary panoramic views.
The town is famous for Sagrantino di Montefalco wine.
Upon request, the experience can include a visit to a selected winery with a guided wine tasting.
BEVAGNA & SPELLO
Continue through Bevagna, with its beautiful medieval square, before reaching Spello, one of Umbria’s most picturesque villages.
Walk through narrow streets, stone houses and balconies decorated with flowers.
DAY 4 – TREVI, MARMORE WATERFALLS & ROME
The final day is dedicated to nature, local flavours and scenic landscapes.
TREVI
Visit Trevi, an elegant hilltop town surrounded by olive groves.
The area is particularly renowned for producing excellent extra virgin olive oil.
The experience can include a visit to a local olive mill and an olive-oil tasting.
MARMORE WATERFALLS
Continue to the spectacular Marmore Waterfalls, one of Europe’s highest man-made waterfalls and one of Umbria’s most impressive natural attractions.
Enjoy free time to admire the landscape and follow one of the panoramic trails.
At the end of the experience, private transfer back to Rome.
